Program Basics

There are two different options that you can choose for your Internship depending on your needs. If you would like to be an Intern you need to make sure that an Internship is secured with a host company. You would also need to obtain sponsorship for your visa so that you can legally participate in the program, and you would need to have adequate medical insurance.

The Self-Placed Program
The Self-Placed Program was developed for applicants that have already found a host company, and the Host Company has offered an Internship to the applicant. Now that you have a company, you need to find a sponsor organization in order to legally participate in the program. Since ASSE Aspire is an accredited organization that can sponsor you, ASSE Aspire can provide the following for Self-Placed Interns:

DS-2019 for the J-1 visa
Pre-departure Orientation
Arrival Orientation
Health Insurance
Assistance obtaining a Social Security Card
Ongoing support throughout program
One month to explore the U.S.

The All-Inclusive Program
The All-Inclusive Program was developed for applicants that would like to participate in the Intern Program but would like to use ASSE Aspire’s services to find a host company for them. ASSE Aspire will use your qualifications and search for host companies for you. For the All-Inclusive Program, ASSE Aspire provides the following services in addition to the services listed for the Self-Placed Program:
