My whole summer was a great experience...a lifetime experience. Starting with the flight (it was very exciting) and ending with different sort of new situations which I experienced. The ocean , the beach, a new lifestyle, getting to know a little bit the american people and having the opportunity of making my own oppinion about the new world, seeing New York...getting to know myself better, my limits and my abilties ....I can say it made me more self confident and open minded. I had my bad moments (everyone has them) but I got over it and in the end I can say it made me stronger .

I can't say I would change something. I didn't feel like there was someting missing .

All the people i came in contact with were very helpful and open to my needs. I was really surprised to see that everyone was smiling and polite. The managers , the personal from the bank, from the city hall,the bus drivers, ....everyone...
I can't think of someone not being helpful or frendly with me ...

Becouse I wanted to experience by myself everything that others have said to me about their american adventure. I wanted to see how it feels to be on my own, how I will be able to handle new situations.

I haven't spoke English for 4 years before (even though i studied English in high school)..and.... I got there and I hardly had the courage to speak ...like i was afraid that words won't come out as i want...Slowly ...after a couple of weeks I started not to focus on this matter ..and so ...i began to speak pretty good. What was most helpful ....my american friends who didn't criticise, and who supported me and corrected me when needed.

It's a great experience that gives everyone the chance of seeing another lifestyle...not better , not worse ..just different. It's about friendship, about the capacity of adjusting to new situations and also about the feeling of independence. In the end you earn your own money for your own work and that gives everyone a lot of confidence in their abilities.
I would highly recomend this program to everyone who wants to experience on their own the feeling of freedom, to everyone who can have fun and be responsable in the same time.

I think the best expereince during the program was the opportunity to socialize with English speaking people.It helped me to improve my English and it's very important to me because I study at the faculty of foreign languages.

Me and my friends liked this program very much, I don't find anything I'd like to change.The program is really good and this is not only my opinion.

To my mind American people are very friendly and helpful.I met a lots of friends and they were always ready to help me if I had any problems.

Houskeeping and kitchen help.At first time it was difficult but then I got used to. And thanks a lot to my boss.He always wanted his staff to have fun at the working place and he did everything for that.

All my free time in the USA I traveled. I knew there are a lot of beautiful places to visit and I wanted to see them with my own eyes.

I heard about this program and decided that it was good opportunity to improve my English, see new beautiful places, try new things and meet interesting people.Why not?And my friends and I decided to participate in this program. More over it was going to be the best summer in my life and it was.

My English has improved. I think it helps to improve your skills when you communicate with English speaking people every day.You have to speak English in the streets, in shops, at your work place, almost everywhere. And you even start to think in English. Of course, it helps a lot.

I recomend the program to everybody. It's a good chance to travel, see new places which you saw in the pictures with your own eyes, socialize with interesting people, find new friends and of course you'll get unforgetable sweet memories.

My best experience during the program was traveling with friends from Grand Canyon Village where we have worked for Xanterra through Las Vegas, Death Valley National Park, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and Los Angeles back to Grand Canyon National Park. It took almost 10 days and was absolutely amazing.

I was a busser in one of five restaurants in Grand Canyon Village in Grand Canyon National Park. I was a busser so my job was preparing tables for guests, serving water, keeping tables clean, cleaning the silverware and glasses, keeping tablecloths clean, and also keeping clean carpets, walls, windows, floors and restrooms. In high season when needed I worked also as a host in the restaurant so my job was greeting people, sitting them by the tables and making waiting lists in most busy time.

In my free time I have...
- walked through Grand Canyon Village enjoying beautiful views and nature,
- spent time with friends in Recreation Centre,
- mailed to friends and family in Poland,
- Enjoyed short trips organized by Xanterra (view points, sunsets etc.)
When I have had more days off and more free time I've traveled with my friends - we were on the rafting on Colorado River, we took the aero plane trip around Grand Canyon, we went to Williams by Grand Canyon Railway, sometimes we drove to Flagstaff (nearest big city). Also we made in July almost 10 days long round-trip from Grand Canyon Village through Las Vegas, Death Valley National Park, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Also in September we went to Las Vegas for 3-days trip organized for our company's employees.

This program is really good for young people to see world, improve their English especially in communication skills, dealing with people etc. But it's also for people who are strong and open-minded.

I'm in Lake Tahoe and my best experience has been boats and swimming in the lake.
